Abstract:
This seminar will provide a brief introduction to robot controller design for performing tasks in unknown environments using Evolutionary Algorithms. Indeed, EA are well adapted to address navigation issues in specific contexts, where exact models of the agent and/or the world are not available. I will describe basics of Evolutionary Algorithms as well as some key problems regarding controller and morphology design. Some related works done in the TAO team (INRIA Futurs, LRI/CNRS - Univ. Paris-Sud, France) will also be described.
