Prof. Barry Cohen, Associate Dean of College of Computing Sciences,
Prof. Cristian Borcea, Associate Chair of College of Computing Sciences,
Prof Vincent Oria, Senior researcher of College of Computing Sciences...
...welcomed Prof. Pham Thi Ngoc Yen and Prof. Eric Castelli (MICA Institute) during several discussions and working meetings. A tour of the premises and platforms was also organized.
Both parties have agreed to set up quickly common cooperation actions, in the form of exchanges of young researchers (masters), co-supervision of PhD students and joint research projects. The signing in the near future of a cooperation agreement (MOU) was raised and desired.
The scientific themes shared by both Institutes concern the databases, processing of images and videos, ambient intelligence and ubiquitous computing.
Prof. Pham Thi Ngoc Yen and Prof. Eric Castelli wish to especially thank Prof. Vincent Oria and Prof. Cristian Borcea for their warm welcome and for their enthusiasm for this new cooperation.
