Collaborative
Open Network for
Education An ASIA LINK Programme |
Abstract:
The CONE
project aims to set up an academic collaborative network using multimedia
information and systems, specialised for exchange, sharing out, and management
of multimedia and multilingual data for education. This network will have an
open structure allowing to connect several universities and to use it in a large
number of educational need cases. The main activity concerns academic and
scientific transfers from Europe to Asia. Secondary activities concern the start
of joint PhD guardianships and the development of an applicative platform, which
will be realised as an example to apply new knowledge and research results. This
network will link 5 European and Asian regions, which master research and
academic activities: Hanoi (Vietnam),
Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Vientiane (Laos),
Grenoble (France) and Torino (Italy). The main target groups will be 10 teachers
and around 50 students in Vietnam, 5 teachers and 25 students in Cambodia, 5
teachers and 25 students in Laos. However, secondary targets groups will be
teachers and students of other universities and also industrials, in the three
emergent countries. The project duration is 36 months.
